We are always looking for volunteers. Currently there are opportunities in the following areas:

Erlestoke House Farm Shop Volunteers

The Friends of Erlestoke Prison work closely with the Erlestoke House Farm Shop as they sell the cards made by the prisoners in our origami classes. The shop, which is next to the Visitor Centre, outside the gates of HMP Erlestoke, are looking for volunteers who would be willing to work in the shop for a minimum of 1 day/week (5 hours) to allow for opening and closing up. Shop hours are: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 12.00 - 3.00pm.

We are looking for people with an outgoing, friendly personality to assist customers in purchasing and ordering goods from the shop. References are required.
For further information or to apply, please contact Janine Hodson below or call 07917 691034

Volunteer Drivers

We are seeking volunteer drivers who are prepared to use their own cars to offer transport to visitors to and from the prison on visit days (Visit times are currently: Thursday pm and all day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

For further information or to apply, please email us below and a member of the charity will talk to you more about what’s involved.

We are seeking a new trustee to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about the rehabilitation of offenders and would be willing to work as part of a small team to initiate and and support rehabilitative projects which are outside the scope of prison budgets.

If you are interested in a new challenge which helps to support HMP Erlestoke offenders and their families, please contact Angela who will provide further information about the role.
